The Story Behind the Pot
I am a Black single mother with three sons, and cooking is my passion. My journey began in Liberia, where I was adopted during a war, and continued in America, where I often felt isolated and struggled with my identity. Not knowing much about my culture or how to care for myself, I faced many challenges.
Things changed when I was blessed with three amazing boys who became my everything. I want them to have a future, and the best way I know to make that happen is by doing what I love—cooking. My food brings people together and sparks something in them, unlocking new taste buds and experiences.
